Elderflower syrup

Ingredients 

16 elderflower umbels
2 kg of sugar
150 ml lemon juice (concentrate from the bottle)
2 liters of water

Preparation 
      Working time: about 20 minutes Resting time: approx. 1 day 12 hours / degree of difficulty:. Simplistic / calories p. P .: not specified

      The elderflower umbels (which is best should not harvest right on the street) place for 36 hours in the water. Add this time a dish towel over the vessel. If it is very warm, just insert one day, because it ferments faster otherwise.

      The water then pour through a sieve into a saucepan with the sugar and lemon juice (if you do not like it all too sweet, it is also the whole vial with the use lemon juice concentrate) boil. Still hot give in boiled and closable vials or vessels.

With this mixture comes to about 2.5 to 3 liters of syrup.

      All ingredients can be bought in the supermarket (cheap) and elderberry can be found from July to July wherever there is a bit green. Preservation of the syrup is always at least until next year.
